Ideas for a kids activity book?

Question by Gracie F: Ideas for a kids activity book?
For my school service project I’m making a activity book for kids in the hospital to use. It’s going to have coloring pages, and some word/number games. Any ideas for games or anything else that would be fun for kids I can include.

Maybe some pages with fold lines so they can tear it out and do origami?

Coloring pages, crossword, word search, what’s wrong with the picture type of thing, which one doesn’t fit (into a particular category) matching, connect the dots, mazes, the game where you have a phrase and they write down all the words they can come up with using those letters, not sure what it’s called. You could even do a paper doll page where they can cut out the clothing. If you didn’t want to do a doll, you could always do a boat and have a fisherman, fish, buckets, etc. You can always just look at a kids activity book to get some more ideas. Oh yeah, what about maybe a page where they can color a mask then cut it out and wear it?

I did a quick Yahoo search for ” free children activities printables ” and numerous interesting sites came up. Check some of them out to see if any have what you are looking for.

Some trivia question pages, maybe some “fun facts” about your city or something like that, there’s lots of fun problem-solving type games that involved arranging lines to form shapes (http://www.jimloy.com/puzz/match.htm)
