Q&A: Kids table activity books…..what do you think?

Question by ★Anonymous★: Kids table activity books…..what do you think?
I found these over on Etsy and I’m totally in love with them..I’ve been searching for a coloring book but thought that they were all kind of tacky looking. Just need your opinions..it says they will personalize the crayons for each kid so that it can also be like a place card.. worth the $ 4.50?? I’m thinking ya but I just want a second (or third or fourth..lol) opinion.. thanks!!

I love them! I might have to get them for my own wedding next June. I’m going to have roughly 25 children there so activities for them are a must. Go for it and congrats!

What do you think? Answer below!

Those are cute . Kind of expensive for just a ribbon and some labels. I am having a kids activity table at my wedding . So they can eat with there family and then go off and “play” at the table so there parents have time to socialize while still knowing what there children are up too. Here are some suggestion. Watch out for anything sticky(Candy), I don’t think you want sticky fingers everywhere. Also watch out with markers and crayons and paint . You can get the ones that only work on special paper and that helps with the children not writing all over everything or each other. Watch out for bubbles . They might spell them or drink them. No noise makers . They just make to much noise . Hope this help a little alot of people don’t think about spilling or what not.

Try covering(tape) your kids table(s) with white freezer wrap paper and put assorted colors of crayons down the middle of the table for all to share! You would be amazed at what the kids will come up with! You can always replace the paper so they can start over at some point. I believe this would be a cheaper route and the kids would get a kick out of it! Maybe some adults would too…

If you can afford it in your budget, I would say go ahead. I’m actually just doing a big kiddie table with wedding themed crafts, lots of butcher paper etc. I like the idea of the kids being able to hang out together at the table and have some company other than boring adults lol. But like I said, I’m sure the kids will get a kick out of have their name on crayons =).

They are cute but couldn’t you do the same thing a lot cheaper?

Buy a big box of crayons (less than $ 5), a package of goodie bags (12 for $ 1), and use some printed mailing labels (if you already have blank mailing labels this pretty much doesn’t cost anything). Print their name and design however you feel fit onto the mailing label and wrap the mailing label over the original crayon wrapper. Package them up along with some other things (maybe a lollipop, etc)into the goodie bag. Print off some free coloring pages from the web. There you go!

I’m big on budgets, so I definitely feel $ 4.50 is too much per child. If you make your own you can cut that cost in half and they’ll get a few more things in their goodie bag.

Oh my….VERY CUTE, and YES, I would pay for $ 4.50. These are adorable and something that I have never seen.

I’m doing a kids table but I think those are pricey! You could do the same thing a lot cheaper, but if its in your budget it’ll work.

This is similar but costs a bit more (it seems to have more activities, they also have other things): http://www.kidfriendlyweddings.com/wedding_coloring_books.htm?gclid=CJPZrrPzhaICFQ_xDAodbFGRVQ.

You can also print your own:

I’m expecting about 20-30 kids (I come from large extended families on both sides with lots of kids).

As for color books, they don’t actually need to be wedding themed (though its nice to have them be) kids don’t care what they color during dinner (especially boys).

    Good luck and congrats!!
