Question by Nicol: Rec me some good book about kids trying to survive in the real world?
I’d like to read more books like Ender’s Game or Philip Pullman’s Dark Materials. It has to be about kids but not a children’s book. Do you know about something with kids growing up in a war? Child soldiers? Some catastrophical book where the kids have to fend for themselves?

    Try the book ‘Buddy’. It’s about a boy trying to cope in a turbulant family. We read it at school a few years ago and it was really good. There are a few books in that series! I’m not sure of the author but it’s published in Britain and the author’s English as far as I can remember! It’s a good read!
