Hi, I’m studying to be an elementary school teacher and for a project I need a childrens picture book with a line at repeats constantly throughout the story. It cannot be a book that is based on a song. I found a good one called chicken soup with rice, but it turned out to be based on a song. What are some of your childrens favorite books that repeat throughout? It needs to be for a kindergartener or a first grader. thanks so much!

Goodnight Moon I think? I haven’t read that book in forever but I think that’s a repeater.

Dr. Seuss is always a good bet, or the guy who wrote Go Dog Go.
SkippyJohnJones are also some of our favorites. They do have repeating lines, but the reading level is a little more advanced than the one above.

You’re going to be a teacher. Make friends with your librarian!! A children’s librarian could give you a great list.
I can name a few: “Goodnight Moon” or “The Runaway Bunny” by Margaret Wise Brown
“Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch
“The Napping House” by Audrey and Don Wood
“Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss
I agree with the the other answerer: Love You Forever! It was/is my daughters favorite book. And I think its because of the repeated parts. She looks forward to me reading those parts
