Q&A: need a costume for world book day. can you help?
Question by Alocin: need a costume for world book day. can you help?
World book day is coming up and the kids have been asked to go dressed up as a character from a book.
I have 2 boys and 2 girls and they don’t want to go as something that’s going to be really popular.
Costumes we have used/made in the past include;
captain underpants
horrid henry
the great spaghetti suit (can’t remember the guy’s name)
the beanstalk
Rapunzel (bet that’s common this year)
Pippi longstocking
Miss Polly (nursery rhymes count)
Dorothy
We always try to make our own costumes so nothing extravagant please, unless you can tell me how to go about making it! lol
Thanks in advance!
the girls are 4 and 6 and the boys are 10 and 5.

The white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
The Cat in the Hat (tophat, scarf, black pants and shirt, with painted whiskers and nose)
Madeleine (Yellow cloak and hat)
Princess Buttercup or The Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride
Hercules
Aladdin (or Ali Baba), or Scheherazade (sounds extravagant, but beads and bangles and scarves would make up the entire outfit)
Madeline
Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 &2
Little Red Riding Hood
The Steadfast Tin Soldier
Goldilocks
Jack and Jill!
and… uh…. Goldy locks and the three bears?
Maybe princess and the pea?
I’m out of ideas. I only know more “adult” novels.
