How It All Began

Books 4 The Kids was founded in 2018 by Eleanor Hartley, a former primary school teacher and passionate advocate for children's literacy. After noticing how difficult it was for busy parents to find quality, age-appropriate books for their children, Eleanor decided to create a solution.

What started as a small online shop operating from Eleanor's spare bedroom has blossomed into one of the UK's most beloved children's bookshops. We've helped over 50,000 families discover the perfect books for their little ones, shipping to every corner of the United Kingdom.
